INVITATION FOR BIDS - 2020 Resurfacing: Various Streets

The Town of South Boston will receive sealed Bids for the above titled Project at the office of Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC, located at 606 Broad Street, Suite C, South Boston, VA 24592 , until 2:00 PM. local time on Friday, February 28, 2020, at which time the Bids will be publicly opened and read aloud. Any Bids received after the specified time and date will not be considered. The Work under this Project consists of the placement of approximately 7,700 tons of asphalt concrete (VDOT SM-9.5A) on various streets throughout the Town of South Boston along with associated work including, but not limited to, milling of existing surface layers, full depth pavement patching, adjustinggrades on drainage/utility structures, and pavement markings. Work will also include the installation of concrete curb ramps and driveways at various locations including all incidental tasks associated with the Work. All Work will be completed in accordance with the Hampton Roads Regional Construction Standards, which incorporates the VDOT Road and Bridge Specifications.

Bid Documents may be obtained, between the hours of 9:00 AM and 2:30 PM (Mon-Fri), from the office of Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC, upon a non-refundable payment of $50.00 for each set of documents. The Bid Documents will be available starting at 9:00 AM on Friday, January 31, 2020. Neither the Owner nor any of its representatives shall be responsible for full or partial sets of Contract Documents, including addenda, obtained from any other source. Requests for Bid Documents to be mailed to the Bidder shall be made in writing and accompanied by a non-refundable check in the amount of $75.00. Checks shall be made payable to Summit Design and Engineering Services, PLLC.
