The South Boston Police Department is an organization designed to deliver exceptional service utilizing the talents of exceptional people. We encourage the utilization of innovative crime fighting strategies, state-of-the-art technologies, comprehensive legislative policies and general information sharing amongst our members.

Moreover, we actively engage the support of other law enforcement entities, legislative bodies and community organizations to advance our department initiative. We place tremendous value on the relationships our officers have built in the communities they serve.

Members of the South Boston Police Department are intricately involved in improving public safety as our officers participate in numerous community and public safety meetings, neighborhood councils, and activities involving children and adults alike.

We believe these partnerships and the professionalism of our officers and civilian staff members greatly contribute to the safe environment enjoyed by those who live in, work in and visit our impressive town.
